Save together in dollars.
Keep your Bitcoin.
Savings circles where everyone pays the same MUSD each round and one person takes the pot. Your locked BTC is the promise: if someone stops paying, their Bitcoin covers it.
A savings circle, with Bitcoin as the guarantee
The circle your community already knows. Everyone pays in, one person takes the pot each round, and locked BTC replaces blind trust.
- 01
Join and lock BTC
Lock Bitcoin worth 150% of what you could owe. Mezo's price feed sizes it live.
- 02
Pay each round
Pay the same MUSD amount every round with one signature. No separate approval.
- 03
Take the pot
When your turn comes, you receive the whole pot. Payout order is join order.
- 04
Stay protected
If anyone misses a payment, their locked BTC pays it, plus a 10% penalty to the group.
Built so the circle keeps its promise
Traditional circles break when someone takes the pot early and stops paying. Round removes that risk without adding a middleman.
Your Bitcoin stays yours
You never sell your BTC to save in dollars. It sits in the contract as your guarantee and comes back after your last payment.
Save in dollars
Every payment and payout is in MUSD, Mezo's Bitcoin-backed dollar.
One signature to pay
MUSD supports permit, so paying is one signature and one transaction.
Nobody in charge
No owner, no admin keys, no upgrades. The rules are the contract.
Anyone can settle
When a round is due, any member can trigger the payout. No keeper needed.
Every move on-chain
Joins, payments, payouts and defaults are public events you can verify.
Fair to honest members
A defaulter's penalty is shared with everyone who kept their promise.
Someone takes the pot and stops paying? The circle still pays.
- A grace period first
A missed payment only counts once the round and its grace period have passed.
- BTC pays the gap
The contract values the defaulter's BTC with Mezo's price feed and sends the missed share to the recipient.
- The group is made whole
A 10% penalty is split among honest members. The defaulter's own payout is cancelled.
Different names. The same promise.
Savings circles are widely used across Africa, Latin America and Asia. Round keeps the habit and adds a guarantee that doesn't depend on knowing everyone.

Questions, answered
The short version: your BTC is the promise, and the contract keeps it.
What happens if someone doesn't pay?
After the round ends and the grace period passes, anyone can settle. The contract takes the missed amount plus a 10% penalty from that member's locked BTC. The recipient gets BTC worth the missed payment, and the penalty is shared with honest members.
What if the price of Bitcoin drops?
Collateral starts at 150% of what you could owe, and you can top it up any time. If BTC falls so far that a defaulter's collateral can't cover a payment, the contract pays out what is there and shows the shortfall openly.
Who holds the money?
Nobody. Payments and collateral sit in a public smart contract with no owner and no admin keys. Payouts follow the rules in the contract, and anyone can trigger them.
Do I have to sell my Bitcoin?
No. Your BTC is locked as a guarantee and you can withdraw it after your final payment, or when the circle ends.
What is MUSD?
MUSD is Mezo's dollar stablecoin, backed by Bitcoin. Every contribution and payout in Round is in MUSD.
Can I use real money?
Not yet. Round runs on Mezo testnet with test BTC and test MUSD, which have no value.
